Short description
Family Home Video is a cozy narrative management game set in Flatwoods in 1999. Stock tapes and snacks, make personal movie recommendations, study the store computer, repair forgotten arcade machines, and uncover the secrets beneath the building.
Long description
Family Home Video is a cozy narrative management game about rebuilding a neighborhood video store over 30 days. Players stock 56 fictional movies, learn the tastes and stories of regular customers, make recommendations, collect returns, schedule deliveries, and follow the store through FHV-OS. The building connects three parts of the owner’s life: the store, an upstairs apartment, and a basement workshop hiding a forgotten game room. Repairing its arcade cabinets opens a collection of original microgames, pinball tables, billiards, Solitaire, and Mines while a local radio station follows the town through music, weather, news, jokes, and strange reports.
